Inspiration is:
meant to give us something to aspire to
something which give us excitement in life,
something which fills us with passion and
stirs us to movement
to give our lives improvement.

But what if we wish not to be inspired?
What if, instead we prefer to be left dead
With no fire.
That way there is no effort involved
You see, to be inspired one must
Necessarily be….. fired!

To be inspired suggests a course of action
A movement in a direction
Achieving, even succeeding to aspire
To someone or something which fills us with fire

Inspiration? the world without it
Would be a dull place you see
'Cos without it, where would scientists
Poets and storytellers be

Uninspired, flat, lifeless
Inhibited and not free
So let’s have loads of subjects to inspire
To set the heart pounding
And fill the blood with fire
