The Man on TV

I saw a man on TV who looked a little bit like me,
His lips were kinda big like mine,
His hair was curly and fine,

His nose was wide,
Yet when he smiled, his whole face lit up and shined,
And as he spoke, I saw hope awaken in audiences eyes,

But he wasn't a mugger or a thief,
A drug dealer complete with golden teeth,
He didn't have a pimp's swagger,
Nor was he a Crimewatch reconstruction actor,

He didn't brag about riches,
Or disrespect his woman for the listeners,
He was just a man on TV.
Who looked a little bit like me,

And they called him Mr President.
