I'm Jackie, and I'm a 36-year-old mom of three. Apart from being with my kids, I get my main kicks out of life by watching how people play with language. I hold a BA (hons) that specialises in English Language/linguistics and, hands up, I am the sort that gets a sick kick out of corpora analysis (in particular analysing and interpreting data for its creative uses of language). I think, in a strange way, I therefore write poetry, fiction and non-fiction mainly as a release valve from the pleasure of seeing everyone else's creativity.
When asked about influences:
"Language play in general. I love to see language creatively exploited, be it in morphological, syntactic or semantic ways."
